There are a number of reasons why you don’t hire amateur wedding DJs. It’s an important enough topic that I plan to do a whole series on it, to hopefully save couples the headaches that can come with not hiring a pro. So hear we go with reason number one.
Every year I get those last minute calls from couples that have just found out that the friend they hired for their wedding is no longer in business and has sold their equipment. Sometimes I can help them but quite often I’ve already been booked for an event. The same is true for most other DJs in the area. The problem is that most brides need start to planning their weddings at least a year in advance and one of the first things they do is hire a DJ. When you hire that DJ, you do so believing that they will be around in a years time for your wedding. Sadly, when you hire an amateur the odds of that happening are greatly reduced.
Professional DJs have a lot more invested in their business so the likelihood of them being around next year is much greater. First of all the quality of the equipment we buy is often much better than what an amateur has to offer. Also there are the costs of business licenses, insurance, websites, advertising and many more. In short this is something that we have put a lot of time, effort, and money into and as such are much less likely to walk away from. We believe and love what we do and will be here when you need us.
Don’t hire amateur wedding DJs. Hire a pro and have one less thing to worry about on your wedding day.
